Facebook's 10th Birthday: The Evolution

Today is Facebook's tenth birthday. Within the decade, the social network has gone through many face lifts. Below are photos of the evolution:

2004

Initially called ‘thefacebook’ the site was very simple. There weren’t many features, apps or tabs on the pages. 

2006

Facebook launched personal feed on the profile page. This change attracted many visitors to the social networking site.

2008

User-friendly tabs were added to make it easy for users to access widgets that were part of Facebook’s new apps. Facebook also became a lot more personal.

2011

Photo tagging and sharing was introduced. These new features got a very good user response.

2014

The new profile now features a timeline that compiles Facebook participation history like a scrapbook. As well as a large cool looking Timeline cover photos on the top of the page.
